goetzpartners opens office in Italy

Milan, May 05, 2015 – goetzpartners, a leading consultancy for strategy, M&A and transformation, since January 2015 has strengthened its European presence with an experienced team of consultants in its Italian office. Offering a unique combination of corporate finance and management consulting, goetzpartners now also addresses clients from a range of industries and sectors in Italy, mainly in private equity, healthcare, industrials, retail and consumer goods.

The picture after the first 100 days is really promising. The Italian team has already won a number of mandates and is supporting clients in a variety of situations. “We are operating here in a very dynamic and competitive environment. But the international strengths and the reputation goetzpartners enjoys as well as the long-standing working relationships we have with Italian companies and private equity funds put us in a very good position,” commented Giovanni Calia, Managing Director. “The entrepreneurial spirit, independent approach and deep industry expertise at goetzpartners have been convincing from day one,” added Claudio Stabon, Chairman.

The management team

Claudio Stabon boasts more than 25 years of experience in executive positions in the consulting, corporate finance and private equity worlds. Prior to joining goetzpartners, Stabon’s posts included the role of Head of Investments at Cofide (Gruppo De Benedetti), Chairman at KOS and Partner at Bain.

Giovanni Calia brings more than 24 years of experience in management consulting to his current role. He previously worked for consultancies such as EY, where he led the Commercial Advisory Services business line, and L.E.K. Consulting. In the latter role he was responsible for the company’s Italian business as a Partner and Managing Director.
