Great Place to Work: goetzpartners recognized as one of the best employers in Germany

17. März 2017

Press release

Munich, March 17, 2017 – goetzpartners, an advisory firm for strategy, M&A and transformation, is one of the best employers in Germany: yesterday the Great Place to Work Institute named the company as a recipient of the well-known award “Best Workplaces in Germany 2017”. This year, around 700 companies competed in four size categories for an award. goetzpartners placed among the top 50 in the category of companies with 50-500 employees.

The award shows that goetzpartners’ company philosophy enjoys a high level of acceptance among its employees. In addition to a very special team spirit, strength of mind and the opportunity to take on responsibility quickly are significant aspects of the corporate culture there. Every single employee counts, regardless of his or her position. Thus, for example, new employees quickly take on responsibility in projects. However, on-the-job training is just one element of employee development at goetzpartners. The company also offers a wide variety of subject-specific and personality-related training courses to develop employee skills, both hard and soft. These courses offer young advisors the chance to develop their skills further and grow in the process – and the employees are very glad for the experience.

Team spirit is important to employees

This appreciation is also mirrored in the results of the anonymous employee survey conducted as part of the Great Place to Work® competition. The survey focuses on core workplace topics such as professional development opportunities, identification with the company, trust, the quality of the teamwork, team spirit and mutual appreciation.

goetzpartners won top marks among the employees who participated, especially in the categories Team Spirit und Fairness. More than 90 percent of those surveyed confirmed that goetzpartners is an outstanding employer and that they like coming to work every day. The work climate scored extraordinarily high as well: 96 percent of the employees who participated in the survey assessed the climate as friendly, and this is an exceptionally high value in particular for the consulting and advisory sector. One employee described it as “a dynamic work environment without rigid structures.” The evaluation for the Great Place to Work® competition included a culture audit in addition to the employee survey. The jury uses this audit to score the quality of the measures that a company offers to promote its employees.

“We’ve very pleased about the award from Great Place to Work,” says Michael Sanktjohanser, Managing Director of goetzpartners. “We regard it as confirmation that we’re on the right track with our company culture and our employee development. At the same time, the award offers us some important points to consider as we develop steadily. In an age marked by digital transformation, our work worlds ultimately change too, and at goetzpartners we want to help shape this change proactively.”
