goetzpartners appoints Martin Brunninger and Serge Prager as new Managing Directors

Munich, 01/03/2016 – The leading advisory firm goetzpartners has expanded its expertise in international corporate finance by hiring two new Managing Directors: Serge Prager in Paris and Martin Brunninger in London. By adding these two experts, goetzpartners is moving to meet the growing demand for international advisory teams. The advisory firm is responding to these challenges by systematically enhancing its international teams with individuals who have extraordinary expertise in their particular field and broad experience in the development of innovative business models.

Serge Prager, 49, will serve as a Managing Director of goetzpartners' Paris office. He has spent more than 15 years in investment banking, serving as global head of TMT and aerospace defence at Crédit Agricole and later at Société Générale, among other positions. Serge Prager has also worked as an adviser to many clients in the areas of FIG, energy and infrastructure. He has supported medium-sized and large company mergers & acquisitions, debt restructuring and transactions in the private equity market. The engineer and Sciences Po graduate began his career in the French civil service and has served as a top business manager in recent years. These positions included CFO of a listed corporation involved in environmental activities and Executive Vice President of a high-tech company.

Martin Brunninger, 44, is the new Managing Director in London. Brunninger, a corporate finance specialist and a native of Austria, will further sharpen goetzpartners' profile in the European private equity market. He previously was a Managing Director at Jefferies, where he oversaw stock analysis. Over the past 15 years, he has served as an adviser to international financial institutions in the areas of mergers & acquisition and stock analysis. With his hiring, goetzpartners is also augmenting its expertise in the health care market: Martin Brunninger has conducted biochemical and molecular biological research at highly respected universities in Austria, France and Great Britain. He also earned an engineering degree in biotechnology and biochemistry at the University of Vienna and a degree in public health and cardiovascular sciences at the London School of Economics.
